Veteran Josh Barnett wants to confront Junior Dos Santos, the #3 of the category of the heavyweights in the UFC, on his return to combat.
Recall that Barnett has undergone a knee operation and is currently in remission of this operation. In his last fight, he had been through the 1st round KO by Travis Browne.
In his previous fight, he had made a return marked in the UFC with TKO Frank Mir, another veteran.
Even though he has not fought for several months, Barnett is still ranked 5th in the world in the heavy weight category.
Meanwhile, Dos Santos has not fought since he finished his trilogy against the current champion of the heavyweights of the UFC, Cain Velasquez.
Dos Santos had to fight against Stipe Miocic for the finale of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil last month, but a hand injury prevented him.
Given that the 2 fighters don't actually have opponent in saw, it would be interesting to see them in action. Nothing has yet been confirmed.
