Sports stars a little "cheaps"

During his recent last fight, Floyd Mayweather has won 32 million dollars in addition to his victory. After the fight, he went to the Hard Rock casino in Las Vegas where a party was waiting.

At the end of the evening, the bill was $23,000, but Floyd has not even had to pay since the casino offered him this evening.

Nik Nguyen, the waitress at the Hard Rock this night, stated that she did everything to accommodate him and his friends. At the end of the evening, Floyd left no tip.

Security who has heard of the story, has arranged something so the waitress has at least a few dollars for his good work. It was money that they had found on the ground before.

This story is reminiscent of LeSean McCoy, player in the NFL who visited a PYT, and who left a tip of $0.20 on a note of almost $70. The story does not say the quality of service he received however.

Charlie Sheen, who heard the case, contacted the waitress in question on Twitter telling her that he would send her $1000 to offset the bad tip she received.

Nothing requires anyone to give a specific amount as tip. The convention is that you give about 15% of your invoice. Obviously, the more you tips, the more your increase your chances of getting a good service the next time you come by, but you'll be not sued for giving 9% instead of 15%.

Is this OK to give $0.02 tip when one has received a bad service? Some people are going to give the tip in some places (at the casino for example), others do not. Each has its reasons.
