Horror lovers are eager to get their hands on The Evil Within, and happily, may have a good dose of fear a week earlier than expected.

The Publisher Bethesda Softworks announced at QuakeCon this weekend that the "survival horror" game will be released on October 14, 2014, a week before the release.

Here's what Pete Hines of Bethesda announced:

“Shinji asked us for a little extra time with the game, but we’re really happy with it. It’s ready a week early, so we’re releasing it a week early.”

The Evil Within will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on October 14.
