Some time ago, PokerStars.com and pokerstars.NET arrived with a great idea: the Home Games. A new option in the software which allowed anyone to create a "League" of poker, to play with friends, both tournaments and sitNgos or cash games. The authority and regulation of games (ARJEL) online suspends therefore today until further notice these parties.
The ARJEL on this subject: "the application for approval of the software was not made by PokerStars.". As long as it has not been granted (by the ARJEL), the site can make use of the software. If the request had been made in time and hour, as already requested by the ARJEL repeatedly, the site would not have had to discontinue its service".
In other words, when the software are updated in this way, it that approves them the ARJEL.
Interviewed on the question, Alexis Laipsker, Director of communications at PokerStars, informs us: "it is obviously a disappointment insofar as this new application is likely to attract many players, especially amateurs. It is a pity that the Home Games are deferred. Now, it is perfectly understandable that the ARJEL wishes to do his work.
He admits any time their naivety in this regard: "somehow, we were naive in underestimating the importance of the changes made by the Home Games. '' We assumed that the entire process of registration and proper functioning of the Home Games is based on existing processes and validated previously by the ARJEL».
For now, the Home Games are only suspended, which does not mean that the information already stored will be lost. If PokerStars receives approval by the ARJEL revive these Home Games, your club will not be cleared and you can continue your parties with the already recorded history.
Asked about the issue, the ARJEL isn't always able to give date for the re-launch of the Home Games.
Some people have raised the hypothesis that the ARJEL reportedly fears that the Home Games are used to launder money. This hypothesis has not been confirmed yet.
