Today, we know that former #2 world will offer a loyalty program.
Friday, October 12, 'Poker Room Manager' of Full Tilt Poker, Shyam Markus announced the establishment of a new loyalty program less complex and more democratic than existed before the end of June 2011 FTP operations on the TwoPlusTwo forum.
The main change for existing players from Full Tilt Poker will be the disappearance of programs reserved for the biggest players (such as Iron Man and Black Card promotions), but also and especially the removal of the "rakeback" deals proposed by external affiliate sites.
"When we will re-open the site on 6 November it will be without Iron Man, Black Card or rakeback paid by affiliates" confirms Shyam Markus on Twoplustwo.
According to him, the highest level of reward will be much simpler to achieve. It also States that the Black Card program will return. Steps soon, but it will come back. It would also have a new form (details will be conveyed to you a little later on our site).
He added: "we are not ready to give the detail of the new loyalty program, but the general idea is that it will be available for everyone". "The main advantage of the program is the weekly payment in cash based on the number of Full Tilt Points earned in the week".
For what is the method to collect points, it will change from "dealt" to "weighted contributed". In other words, the points will be divided among the players involved in the hand and not among the players who received cards only (as PokerStars has done a few months ago). This method advantage aggressive players who has a high VPIP. It is also generally recognized to be more fair.
According to Markus, players will receive up to $ 2.50 for each 100 FTP points, which represents roughly a 25% rakeback. According to him, with other upcoming interesting bargains, 25% return fight even once granted 27 percent. Depending on the way you'll spend your points, you will go to get another 5% rakeback, bringing your total to 30%.
"Full Tilt Poker has started to develop a new system of rewards well before that Pokerstars bought the company in July" says Markus.
"When the agreement with Pokerstars has happened, most of the work on this new program was already done, it was only a question of deciding whether or not it would be adopted" explains Markus. "This was not a trivial decision, but in the end we decided that the benefits of a unified programme justified this change".
In short:
-an offer based on several levels of reward according to the volume of game;
-the passage of the "dealt" to the "weight contributed", which means that only players involved in a hand will be rewarded with points.
-the disappearance of promotions reserved for the biggest players, like Iron Man or Black Card (even if the latter could return later in another form);
-contrary to the rakeback by affiliation, there will be no deduction or no fees. "The 25% will be almost always cheaper than the former 27% rakeback".
-weekly payments will cost no FTP. The points will be equivalent to "4 or 5% additional cashback";
-the value of the FTPs will be thus higher, which will also increase the importance of promotions such as Happy Hours.
Last detail of importance for the Canada players: the dates of the next Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) reported. The series will take place in two months only, from 2 to 16 December.
