A quick note to point out that now almost all our members know; the famous site of poker TwoPlusTwo forums have been hacked recently. Therefore, the site is currently down until it found the security hole.
Consequences? The first obvious is that forums are more accessible and the second is that emails and passwords have been compromised.
This message appeared on the forums when we were trying to access:
"In the night of 26 to 27 April, the TwoPlusTwo forum has been closed. A hacker would have indeed managed to access email addresses and passwords encrypted in our database. It also specifies be able to decrypt passwords.
As a precautionary measure, we therefore consider that all the TwoPlusTwo (email + password) accounts were stolen. If you have used your password TwoPlusTwo on another website or on a poker room, we recommend that you change it.
We also took the decision to close the forum until the security flaw is corrected.
We hope to reopen the forum as soon as possible."
Therefore, we invite you to change your password if you are a member of these forums. This vulnerability also remind you of the importance of choosing a DIFFERENT and complex password for each forum/site. Many people still have the bad habit (probably by laziness), to have one or two passwords for all their accounts, which, you will agree, will facilitate the life of hackers.
PokerCollectif therefore recommends you use a software like Keypass to safeguard your passwords. This software has mainly 2 advantages: 1 - the software retains all your passwords for you and all you have to remember is your "master password" and 2 - the software will create for you a safer than "Sebasdesspoker123" or "Kidam123" password.
