Mr Adelson has no legislative or executive power, but given its economic power, its opinion could influence many people precisely with political powers. Some specify that the fact that Mr Adelson is not in favor of online poker is simply a manifestation of frustration because earlier, he had launched the idea that casinos could offer the poker online across the entire market, a sort of alliance, but that his idea had not received supports it which he expected. This suggestion was refused and Sheldon could still be bitter of this decision.
Despite his opposition, it would be surprising that online poker is not legalized one day or the other.
