While the mid-term elections will be held soon and several members are afraid of losing their jobs, the Poker Player Alliance continues to put pressure on the U.S. Congress. This time, they established the PPA Congressional Ratings Guide 2010. This guide provides poker players a simple way to know whether or not a member supports the right of citizens to freely play poker. Former Senator Alfonse D'Amato, chairman of the PPP, is the origin of this guide. "The poker community has made tremendous progress over the past two years by educating members of Congress about the benefits of the regulation of online poker. Notes in our guide show the progress, but also emphasize that much remains to be done. " This guide is "a valuable resource for members of the PPP and all poker players in the country so they can support candidates who support their right to freedom of playing poker."
With the recent draft law on online poker ( the HR2267 example ), it is becoming easier for the app whether or not the member support online poker, with simply voting history.
In comparison with 2008:
258 members (almost half of the members) received a rating of "D" or "F" in 2008.
194 members have received a grade of "D" or "F" in 2010.
91 members received a rating of "A" for their support for the freedom to play poker.
