Many people may have concerns about their money on PokerStars since the Alderney Gambling Control Commission temporarily withdrew its operating license to the game Full Tilt Poker room. On the other hand, don't worry, your money is indeed (for the moment at least) safe until further notice. PokerStars recently issued a communiqué in which they informed us that our funds are safe and their operations are absolutely not affected.
PokerStars continues to operate normally and all funds held in the accounts of the players can be removed as usual, with no delay. PokerStars continues to fully respect the licences of other jurisdictions in which they are regulated.
PokerStars concluded in its release:
"Since the prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice in April, we have returned to our players more than $ 120 million and we continue to respond to their requests as they are addressed. Players residing outside the United States were not affected and all payments have been made without delay. In addition, PokerStars signed an agreement which expressly confirmed the ability of the company to pursue its activities outside the United States with the Department of Justice. We will continue to operate as a responsible company and we commit ourselves to meet the needs of our customers in the largest regulatory compliance."
Phil Galfond is back
Phil Galfond is recently moved to the Canada to continue to work. His apartment in Manhattan, Phil could unfortunately no longer playing poker since April 15. This week, he informed us via his Twitter account that he was going to stay in Vancouver for the next 6 months.
Since July 24, Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond is losing about 3-4 buy-in, or approximately 18K. Its regular parties for the moment are the PLO tables 25/50 on PokerStars. Yesterday things have been difficult for him while he lost a little over 160K.
Upon his return on the tables of OLP, Isildur1 would even exclaimed: "Oh no, it's back!".
Galfond intends in the coming weeks, in addition to spend his time on PokerStars PLO tables, add a few tables on PartyPoker, site on which he began his career.
Speaking of Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, since July 20, he played 32 sessions of PLO and won an average of 12.5 K per session. Pretty impressive!
