Jonathan D'Souza finished 8th in the event #38

Event #38 - Hold'em no limit 4 - max to $2500

Yesterday was held the final of this tournament. The eyes were riveted on the Québécois Jonathan D'Souza , who was among the finalists.Jonathan eventually finished the tournament ranked 8th for a purse of $ 29,770. It is surely not what he hoped, but it's still a very honourable performance on his part!

The tournament was won by Justin Olivier who won $ 309,071.

For him, it was his 1st bracelet and his 5th purse in a WSOP tournament. It today brings the total of his earnings to $ 345,868.

Event #39 - Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split 8 or better ($1500)

Decisive day in this Stud tournament. The particularity of this tournament is that there were 3 Canadians on the final table (while usually final tables are much more populated Americans).

It was Canadian Daniel Idema who won the tournament and the $ 184,590. Other Canadian Mike Leah and Tony Gill finished respectively 5th and 6th for $ 37,552 scholarships and $ 27,834.

Event #40 - Hold'em no limit ($1500)

We followed this tournament closely since 5 Quebecers still were in the race yesterday in this tournament to $ 1500.

Unfortunately, none of the Québécois 5 has managed to get through this day. The good news however is that all players are stock.

Charles 185th mass ($2888)
Jason Hallée 223rd ($2625)

At this stage of the tournament, only 21 players who will vie for the grand prize of $ 525,272 remaining.

The current leader of the tournament is the Chilean Nicolas Fierro which has 965,000 tokens.

Event #41-Pot - Limit Omaha 6-max ($5000)

Another tournament interesting to follow by the presence of 3 québécois: Erik Cajelais, Jeff Hakim and Adam Covinsky.

None of the 3 Quebec has managed to cross yesterday nor that they have managed to qualify for a scholarship.

When the tournament will continue today, he remains more than 22 400 registrants in this tournament.

The current leader is Steve Gross American who has 526,000 tokens.

Event #42 - Hold'em no limit ($1000)

2100 players participated in this tournament ' no limit to $ 1000. After the day yesterday, it remains 168 players in the race, including two Quebecers: the 153rd ranked with 11,100 chips found Jeff side and 116th ranked we find André Boyer with 21,200 tokens.

When the action resumes today the blinds will be 500/1000 with antes at 100. The current leader is Matt Matros which has 145,000 tokens.

Event #43-2 / 7 Draw Lowball (no limit) ($10,000)

Tournament 2-7 highstakes with several big names such as Phil Ivey, Elky, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Galfond, Erik Seidel and Phil Laak.

After the day yesterday, it remains in this tournament, 55 of 87 registered players. At the top of the list of the players still remaining, Calvin Anderson who has 134,700 tokens can be seen.

The tournament is scheduled to end tomorrow while we know the winner of the bracelet and $ 252,524.

Today marks the beginning of the #44, a Hold'em Tournament event ' no limit at $ 3000. Good luck to all Quebecers who will participate!
