It is yesterday that began the WPT Malta, a 3300 euro tournament which attracted 64 players including some québécois. 34 and between them will return Tuesday for day 2. The Danish Casper Toft ended the day atop the standings with 123.600 tokens. The other survivors include Phil Hellmuth.
With only 64 recorded entries, day 1 has attracted less players than expected, probably because of the proximity of the WPT Paris who came to an end and that there were several major tournaments which took place including the WCOOP on PokerStars.
To return to Phil Hellmuth, 12 WSOP bracelets man was disturbed during his tournament by none other than Spiderman!
Behind the spider costume was the Hungarian Andras Fekete, who had eliminated Hellmuth at the 2011 edition.
Andras was hired by Tony G for developing Hellmuth tilt! In Exchange, Tony G. paid the tournament headquarters in Hungarian.
The project was apparently not worked since Hellmuth took everything with a lot of humour. But Tony G has not said its last word seems. The future will tell us what it will still set aside to the great Phil.
In addition to Hellmuth in this tournament, there are also a few other names known of which the Québécois Jonathan Duhamel!
So, in summary, on day 1 you will be interested to know that Duhamel 40,900 tokens, Phil Hellmuth 47,000 tokens, Jonathan Roy (brendl on PokerCollectif) 94,100 tokens. With regard to the day 1 b, Kara Scott has 24.075 tokens, Jason Mercier 27, 975 tokens, the Québécois Erik Cajelais 30,000 chips and Vanessa Selbst 56,000 chips!
The leader in chips is currently Casper Toft with 123,600 tokens.
At the time of this writing, we are at level 5 and there are still 94 players on 99 registrants.
