IdleMiner overview
IdleMiner is one of the best software of datamining on the market. Once configured, IdleMiner opens and closes automatically your tables based on your pre-determined criteria and records hands on different tables open so that you can add in your statistical software.
At the end of 2010, IdleMiner was purchased by PokerTableRatings; IdleMiner will continue to offer support and updates, but it is possible that in the near future, IdleMiner offers more updates.
IdleMiner installation:
IdleMiner moved with a single click. Subsequently, IdleMiner will open for you the poker room you want dataminer.
Ease of use:
Once installed, IdleMiner is easy to use. Just do a simple configuration to establish your criteria (played limit, the number of players maximum and minimum on the table, the table number, etc.) and voila.
Features:
IdleMiner offers several features. For example, you can ignore certain types of tables (the turbo tables or tables deepstack). All functions are automated, allowing thus dataminer without you even be present at your computer.
Trial version:
IdleMiner offers a trial version of 1000 hands.
Supported sites:
For the moment, IdleMiner supports Absolute Poker, FullTilt Poker and Party Poker.Ils also offer a HandGrabber for Ongame, Pacific Poker, Bodog, Ipoker and Everest. Either the IdleMiner seems more be available for sale: only HandGrabbers are.
Variations and types of games supported:
IdleMiner supports the hold'em tournaments and cashgames, both limits, the sans-limite and the pot-limit.
Updates / support:
Since the purchase by PokerTableRatings IdleMiner merely do the minimum level of the updates. The sale of different IdleMiner seem to have stopped and it is possible only to buy the grabber hand. PokerCollectif believes that in the medium term IdleMiner no more put-to-day.
Conclusion:
IdleMiner was once a great software, but with competition from sites that sell the hand histories to low cost, IdleMiner has lost its raison d'etre. The purchase of IdleMiner by PokerTableRatings also sounds the end for IdleMiner.
PokerCollectif does not recommend the purchase of IdleMiner. We recommend that instead of using a site that sells hand histories.
