Long in the shadow of his father (Donnacha O'Dea), Eoghan O'Dea still had success before being one of the "November Niner" to the WSOP 2011. Raised in a family where the father was a poker professional, Eoghan O'Dea was introduced to poker at the age of 16 years.
With its participation in the final table (and that of his father in 1983 and 1991), the O'Dea became the first father/son duo to a WSOP main event final table, while Eoghan is ranked 2nd on the eve of the final table.
Eoghan O'Dea is not to his early success. He has won more than $ 500,000 in 2008 while he won iPoker COOP III ($ 315,000), followed of a second place at the Ladbrokes Poker Million VIII ($ 250,000). In 2009, it will have been able to get their hands on $ 378 227 for second place in the main event of the WPT Marrakech (season 8).
